Authorities say a woman died and two other people were injured in an Easter Sunday shooting in a quiet Johnson City neighborhood.

Investigators say 46-year-old Erika Smith Cunningham was killed by the early-morning gunfire at 92 Crocker Avenue.

According to Johnson City police, Cunningham lived in Binghamton but she originally was from New York City.

Detectives did not release the identities of the others who were wounded or any information about their conditions or the extent of their injuries.

A statement issued by police early Monday afternoon indicated Cunningham was not the intended victim and was not specifically targeted in the shooting.

Investigators believe it was not a random act and they say they don't believe "there is any further danger posed to the general public."

Officials have not said whether the attack was linked to a shooting that occurred about five hours later on Susquehanna Street in downtown Binghamton.
