Binghamton University held its 71st Annual Athletics Award Banquet Monday night at the Events Center.  92 members of the senior class were honored as well as dozens of other outstanding student athletes.

There were a number of academic honors and awards presented.  Two student speakers addressed the gathering. Softball player Stephanie Bielec and Men's Lacrosse player Sal Fama talked about their memories of their college years both on the athletic field and in the classroom.

Major award winners included the John Bilos Award given to the graduating male and female athletes who were selected as the best of the senior class.  Wrestler
Steven Schneider earned the men's award while Basketball standout Imani Watkins and Track and Field star Keishorea Armstrong shared the women's award.

The Jesse A. Godfrey Award is given to a graduating senior woman who has contributed significantly to the athletics program.  Basketball's Alyssa James and Softball's Jessica Rutherford shared this award.

Over 550 people were on hand for the event.  It was also streamed live on bubearcats.com
