Has the Binghamton Round A Bout screwed up our March tradition in downtown Binghamton?

I SHOUT A RESOUNDING...... YES!

Because of someone's stupid idea to put that small circle in an area that no one seemed to want, we have now lost forever, what was our Traditional St. Patrick's Parade.

March 2nd is the date for this years parade. it is also the date that you will no longer see fire trucks along the parade route, always a child's favorite part of the parade.

If you have had floats in parade's past.... you may not be able to have them this year. According to published reports, flatbeds and the like will not be allowed anymore in the Binghamton St. Patrick's Day Parade.  There have been many years that the same huge and creative floats have been used by community groups, organizations and people who just want to show their Irish Heritage and/or Spirit.

Well, now they'll have to do it, on foot!  So sad......

For the last several years, most of what I have heard regarding the Chenango Street Cherrio is that no one wanted it. But neither the NYS DOT, nor Binghamton Mayor  Matt Ryan listened and we got that damn circle jammed down our throats.

Now look what has happened.

Are you gonna stand for this? Do you have any solutions for this galactically insane issue? Can you offer any insight into what can be done so future generations of Greater Binghamtonians can partake in the same right of spring, as those who are older have?
