Three new members were inducted into the Binghamton Baseball Shrine before Friday night's Binghamton Mets home game against Erie..  R.C. Reuteman, the first Binghamton Mets General Manager and pitchers Nelson Figueroa and Heath Bell are the new inductees.

Rueteman, who passed away in 2015, was Binghamton's General Manager for the team's first nine seasons and supervised the franchise's development in Binghamton along with the construction of the new ballpark.

Figueroa pitched parts of two seasons in Binghamton.  He went on to have a lengthy career in the Major League's and concluded his playing time with two season's in New York.  He is now a member of SNY's broadcast crew covering the Mets on television.

Heath Bell was a premier closer in the Big Leagues after his stay over parts of three season with Binghamton.  Over a three-year span he recorded 132 saves...the best in baseball over that time period.
