Moscow has come up with a different way to pay for a subway ride. Instead of paying cash, riders must complete 30 squats to get their ticket.

I like it! Not only does it promote exercise, but it saves money. Building upon this stroke of genius, I think the City of Binghamton should replace its parking meters downtown with "squat" meters. Being realistic, there should be 5 squats for each 15 minutes the car is parked. No limit either.

Can you imagine how much weight that would be lost in this city if we replaced the old meters? Would that work for you?

See how the idea works in Moscow.
