Tranquil Bar & Bistro is located at 36 Pine Street, Binghamton. That's not far from our studios, but up until now, I had not taken the time to stop in. Tranquil participates in Binghamton Restaurant Week, so I thought this would be a great time to check them out, and I'm glad I did!

Upon entering on a Monday night, famous for not being a busy night for many restaurants, this was obviously not an issue for Tranquil. There were many people enjoying dinner in a comfortable setting featuring artwork on the walls from local artists. The current display belonged to our waitress, Masha, and they were very impressive!

My selection of food at Tranquil consisted of  an appetizer of tasty Shrimp Bisque with Pernod, the main course - Pan-Roasted Medallions of Pork Tenderloin, featuring grilled heirloom tomatoes, king oyster mushrooms, wild rice, shallot port glaze, followed by a delicious, warm  brownie covered with raspberry and whipped cream.Oh yea, I left full and very satisfied. Thanks to the staff and management of Tranquil Bar & Bistro for a great experience. I'm glad I finally took the chance to visit! Check out the pictures of my dinner and that of my guest below.

Binghamton Restaurant Week continues through Thursday September 25th. Get out for Lunch or Dinner and find out just how great our area restaurants are! For complete information on Binghamton restaurant Week, including menus, click of that blue button below!
