The speed limit on Conklin Avenue near the school is 15 miles per hour. The street's legal speed limit is 30 on either side of the school zone.

According to New York State officials, the fine for speeding in a school zone may vary.

If a motorist is cited for driving 10 mph over the posted speed limit, the fine could be as much as $300, along with an $85 surcharge. Three points could be assessed on a New York driver license for a school zone speeding conviction.
