Four-legged residents and their people have some new equipment for staying fit at a park in the City of Binghamton.

Cheri Lindsey Park’s Bark Park on the North Side has expanded and now includes agility equipment to challenge dogs and their owners while encouraging canine socialization.

The expansion project also includes new drinking fountains, trees, landscaping and benches.

The $15,000 update was funded through the Community Development Block Grant program and in-kind services from the City Parks Department.

The two-acre Bark Park first opened in 2012 to provide a safe environment for dogs to run and play leash-free.
