This Sunday I am personally inviting you to a wing ding of a good time and it's for a great cause.

There is a benefit for one of my close personal friends, John (WAH) Oleski, from noon till 5pm at the Genny Golf Course on NYS Route 12, between Chenango Forks and Greene. John was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma earlier this year, and he has been undergoing treatments in Rochester.

Well, the trips to Rochester are not free, and niether is all the things associated with getting Cancer treatments, as no medical insurance covers everything. This is where you come in.....

We need your bodies, cash and good spirits this Sunday at 'The Genny!' There wikll be basket raffles with lots and lots of really good things. There's 50-50's, a wheelbarrow full of booze raffle, food, beverages, and live music from:

noon)           The Budda Kings
1:30)            String of Pearls
3)                  Melanie and the Boys

I never EVER say anything nice about John to his face. But I will to you here. This man is instrumental in running all kinds of motorcycle events to help people all over the Southern Tier. He is the key, go-to guy for our Bike Nite during the Day at Cruisin'Pallooza, which raises food and money to feed the hungry.   He's one of the officers of the Binghamton Hog Club who show up to our Greene Bike Nights for a variety of charitable causes.

And he also helps the children at Christmas. There are a lot of underprivileged kids in our area who would not experience a joyful Christmas if it wasn't for John's, (and the rest of the Hog Club's) year long efforts to raise money to buy toys for the children who normally would not have gotten anything during this joyous time of year. John is a Santa Clause of sorts.

John has also taught many people the proper way to ride a motorcycle as he is one of the instructors in the Southern Tier Harley Davidson MSF class. In fact, he (and Bill Tozer) taught yours truly to ride. So won't you please ride on out, have a good time and bring a lot of cash, this Sunday to help out a man who has helped out so many others!

For more info, call Kathy at 725-9088.

I will be there, will you?
