The BC Humane Society needs help caring for a huge influx of little dogs.

A man, whose love of the pets apparently got out of control with a few dogs rapidly multiply before he became ill, turned 60 of them over to the Binghamton shelter.

The Humane Society says it’s fortunate the dogs are small, so they can be housed in smaller crates as the shelter at 2 Jackson Street is at maximum capacity.

All the dogs need to be cleaned, walked and taken for veterinary evaluation before they can be considered for adoption.

The Shelter needs volunteers, bleach, food, paper towels, cloth towels and more.

For information on items needed and cash donations, contact the BC Humane Society at bchumanesoc.com or call (607) 724-3709.
