Paul McCartney and Wings released an album late in 1973 titled 'Band On The Run.' You may be familiar with it. It certainly became a great holiday gift for fans of the former Beatle.

At the time, I was in college, and this album was another that garnered a lot of airplay on my college radio station. I remember playing the hell out of Helen Wheels, Jet and of course the title track. For those who had a more 'non-hits' show on my college radio station, they aired Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five and Mrs. Vandebilt.

The songs on 'Band On The Run' were written by the husband and wife team of Paul and Linda McCartney, and the result was an incredible album that topped the album charts in 1974 including the US (on April 13th) , Canada, the UK and Australia.

For this week's Classic Rock Pick, I found this gem of Paul McCartney and Wings performing Band On The Run during their 'Wings American Tour' in 1976. Enjoy!
