I don't know if it's because I'm getting older or if I'm out of shape or a combination of both. Yesterday when I got home from work I decided I would work on the lawn. I pulled out the lawn mower fired it up and mowed my front yard as well as my backyard and I  did the neighbor's lawn as well. Even though I cut the grass last Tuesday, you wouldn't know it with all the rain we received over the last week. The grass was so high it stalled the mower a few times. After I was done mowing I got out the weed wacker and did the trimming around our house as well as the neighbors. When I was done with that I got out the electric edger and did the edging around the sidewalk in front of our house as well as the neighbors. I was already sore at that point when I reached for my leaf blower backpack. I slung that up over my shoulders, fired that up, and went out to leaf blow the entire driveway as well as the sidewalk in front of my house three neighboring houses as well.

All in all, I was outside working on the yard for almost four hours. As soon as I laid in bed last night I felt my back sink right into the mattress and I knew I would be stiff in the morning. When I got up this morning I was a little stiff and after taking a hot shower felt much better. But after sitting around at work today I can feel it on my back again. I just want to go home and sit on the porch, crack open a beer and look at the fruits of my backbreaking labor.
