When new owner John Hughes took over operation of the Binghamton Mets a few months ago he said he wanted to change some things and add excitement both on and off the field.  One of the things he and the B-Mets management team are implementing is a "Name the Team" contest.  Hughes is looking for input from the fans in coming up with a new name for the team.

Over the first few home games of the season Binghamton offered fans a chance to submit their suggestions for a new name.

Tomorrow night (Tuesday) prior to the B-Mets home game against the Altoona Curve the ball club will announce the top six finalists from those suggestions.  Fans will then have the chance to vote on their favorite suggested name throughout the season.  The new name will then be unveiled shortly after the 2016 season ends.
