AT&T Rocks On With Deep Purple

It always amuses me when commercials use classic rock tunes in them.(Crazy Train anyone?) but the AT&T commercial I saw the other night made me beam and laugh at the same time! If classic rock is so "old" why are the songs so popular? Huh?

What's the most popular song newbies learn to play guitar with? Smoke On The Water. What's one of the most popular cowbell songs? Smoke On The Water. So, of course the song AT&T used was? Bingo!

It's no coincidence that the commercial came out at the same time as Deep Purple's new cd Now What?!?  It's got some great tunes, check it out.
