This weekend musicians, fans, and music lovers will be heading to the Choconut Inn just over the border in PA, for a tribute to Billy Davis, one of the founding members of ACTS.

ACTS was a big part of the Southern Tier musical tapestry in the 70’s and 80’s, when nightlife was thriving with many clubs throughout Greater Binghamton and Northern Pennsylvania.

Billy moved to Nashville, Tennessee several years ago to pursue his career in the music industry. He also was a member of the rock groups Foghat in the early 90’s and spent 15 years with Joey Molland and Badfinger.

In 2013, Billy developed a brain tumor in the part of the brain that processes musical notes that ended his musical career. Read more on his story here.

Billy Davis grew up in the Castle Creek area and went to school in Whitney Point. He has maintained a close relationship with many musician friends and family throughout the years, and this Sunday, February 22nd at the Choconut Inn, in Friendsville, Pennsylvania, several bands and area musicians will perform in ‘A Tribute to Billy Davis’, beginning at 2pm.

There will be a special performance from members of ACTS, along with other special surprises.

Admission is a $10 donation at the door.
