Are You Ready For 6 More Weeks of Winter?

The rodent has spoken. Or rather should I say saw his shadow. Apparently there was no snowstorm in Punxsutawney, Pa. today.

Welcome to Groundhog Day. 6 more weeks of Winter. I'm betting it will be longer than that. It sure was last year if you remember. April has been warm in recent years, except for last year. It seems like May wasn't that great either.

6 weeks from now is only the middle of March, which of course is when Winter ends calendar-wise, but not in the Southern Tier of New York and Northeast Pennsylvania! On the upside, if you love Winter activities like snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding and making snow angels, this is your time. For me, it just means shoveling, sliding, slipping and freezing my you-know-what off, but I will enjoy another viewing of the movie 'Groundhog Day!'

I'm more of a Summer person. My time will come. But far more than 6 weeks from now.
