April the Giraffe, one of Broome County's tallest residents, is back in the spotlight again.

Jordan Patch, the owner of Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, announced Wednesday morning that the 16-year-old April is pregnant again.

The official word of the giraffe's pregnancy came in a live segment on NBC's Today Show.

At 8:23 a.m., Patch said: "The results are in. We are having a baby!"

April became a global celebrity during her first pregnancy with millions of people in the United States and around the world keeping tabs on her thanks to a live internet feed.

April gave birth to a son - Tajiri - in April of last year. Patch said Tajiri's father Oliver is the going to be a dad again.

It's not clear when people should expect the next birth. Patch suggested the big event may happen in March.
