April the Giraffe Up for E! People’s Choice Award

You would have to live under a rock to not have heard about Binghamton's most famous resident, April the Giraffe.

April went viral last year during the birth of her calf Tajiri, and put Animal Adventure Park on the map, and put Binghamton on the world stage. April amassed over 2 million viewers during her entire pregnancy.

April is back in the spotlight, this time in the television world.

April the Giraffe is a top 5 finalist for an E! People's Choice Award. Binghamton's favorite long neck mammal is up for "Animal Star of 2018."

April needs your help in order to walk away with the award. You can vote for April right here.

Voting runs from now until October 19.

According to the official press release from Animal Adventure Park:

Fans can vote up to 25 times per method, per category, per day if they vote via online, Facebook, and Twitter. On Facebook, fans can post either publicly or privately and include: one category hashtag, one corresponding nominee hashtag, and #PCAs. On Twitter, fans can send a public tweet or retweet and include one category hashtag, one corresponding nominee hashtag, and #PCAs.

In case you missed it: April is pregnant again! Her new calf is expected in the Spring of 2019.
