We have already seen many classic horror films remade over the past few years. Well move over Freddie Krueger, Michael Myers, and Jason Voorhees, here comes another horror classic remake!

This summer, it's baaaaaaack, the new Poltergeist movie will hit theaters this July! The people behind this version have a pretty scary resume, with past pictures that include, The Grudge and The Evil Dead.

I like to see some creativity in remakes, you know, revisions and different takes on the story. I have been disappointed with some of the past movie remakes that basically mimic the original almost scene for scene.

The new 'Carrie' movie was so similar that I actually repeated many of the lines as I watched. The remake of 'War of the Worlds' added a lot, which is probably why it's one of my favorite remakes of a sci-fi/horror classic.

'Poltergeist' 2015 stars Sam Rockwell in the role Craig T Nelson played in the original 1982 'Poltergeist'. Nope, it's not Carol Ann that gets trapped in the TV set, it's Madison and there's no little lady named 'Tangina' in the updated version, but they have added some pretty good effects.

I am a huge fan of classic horror movies and I always get excited about seeing another. Let's hope this is a good one!
