When looking for Strange But True stories for this morning's Freezone in the Morning, I found an article on Newsweek that made me scratch my head.

The Tide pod challenge was bad enough, and now there is this. For those who don't know, the Tide pod challenge was the act of a teenager videoing themselves, putting a Tide laundry pod in their mouth and biting down to cause it to explode. With all of the chemicals that are contained in the pod, this is very dangerous.

This is not a new challenge per say, but rather a resurgence of something that teenagers have been doing for years. According to Newsweek, teenagers are snorting condoms through their nose and pulling it out their mouth. I don't think they realize that if the condom goes down their windpipe and gets stuck in their throat they could choke to death. I don't know who the first person was that decided to try this or why they would act on such a stupid idea. According to Newsweek, there are videos all over YouTube of kids trying this stunt and laughing. In the article, they showed a couple videos of teens taking the 'Condom Challenge'. The article went on to say that another big concern is, if the condom makes its way to the teenager's lungs, that could be a major issue as well.

It doesn't say how many if any died trying to complete the condom challenge, but if they did they would probably make the Darwin list. This is not what your parents meant by saying, "I hope you are using condoms".

I don't want to sound like an old man, but what the hell is wrong with the kids today?
