And The Biggest Energy Guzzler in Your Home is….

With prices on everything going up lately (did you see the price of bacon?) we try hard to penny pinch and cut down on one of the biggest bills we have; the electricity bill.

There's only one problem with that. No matter how hard we conserve there is one electricity sucker that we won't cut off. It is the one thing in our home that literally sucks the energy out: our cable box.

Yep! The cable box! To give you an idea of how much energy they take from your home, it is about the same as is produced by 4 nuclear reactors, making it the number one energy guzzler. Number two on the list, by the way, in the home is the air conditioner.

So what do we do? Nothing. They have to be on to update constantly or we don't get features like the guide.
