I am smiling today because my Eagles beat the Falcons to move on to the NFC championship game this Sunday. The Tennessee New England game was a blowout so that wasn't too entertaining. The Jacksonville Jaguars upset Pittsburgh yesterday in what turned out to be a close game. But the game that everyone is talking about from this weekend, was the late game yesterday afternoon between the Vikings and the Saints.

In the first half, the Vikings made it look like they were going to run away with the game. The Saints came out and controlled most of the play in the second half, and had a lead with 10 seconds left in the game. And then the miracle in Minnesota happened. The Vikings were trying to march down the field to kick a field goal. With 10 seconds left to play, Case Keenum connected with Stefon Diggs. He should have been tackled immediately, but the Saints Defender Marcus Williams missed on the hit which allowed Diggs to catch the ball on the 35-yard line and scamper untouched into the end zone for the Minnesota win. There were four lead changes in the last three minutes of that game. As soon as Diggs caught the ball, everyone watching the game at my house started screaming.

Truth be told, I was rooting for Minnesota yesterday because they've never won the Super Bowl. So, I figured if they won, then beat my Eagles next week, and if Jacksonville was to upset the Patriots next week, one of the surviving teams would win their first ever Super Bowl. I'm still hoping the Eagles can pull out some kind of miracle, but if Minnesota or Jacksonville when it all, the sting of the Eagles failing in their quest won't hurt as badly.

I can't wait for Sunday's games.
