5 Things Big Wally is Thankful For: Day Five

Justin Sullivan/Getty Images NewsThings

I have seen many folks on Facebook talking about the things they are thankful for. I think it’s the 30 days of Thanksgiving.
I never ever get involved with the Facebook, ‘post this for 30 minutes as your status,’ or ‘Here’s the letter H, now describe me using that letter,’ type of thing. But after 25-days of seeing this, I believe this has some merit. So begins my….

5 DAYS of THANKSGIVING….
(The Top Five Things I am Thankful For)

I am thankful for a job and a career that allows me to go to work and have fun everyday. When people say, ‘what do you do for a living?’ I tell ‘em that I do what I used to get detention for in high school, but now I get paid for it.

But here’s the real reason I am so thankful for my work here at 991 The Whale.

I get to use my pseudo celebrity and contacts, to help people. Everyday,  people see others who need help and they say ‘someone should do something about that!’ I say, ‘Let’s do It!’

It’s my firm believe that we are all on this earth to help each other when we need it.  Let’s find solutions to problems instead of excuses as to why they can’t be done. If someone is hungry, lets feed them. If they are cold, lets find a way to cloth them, and if they need a shoulder to lean on, have the coffee ready and turn off the phone.

I am thankful that God gave me the ability to think this way and I am thankful for my talent to bring people together, for music, for fun and for helping each other. And I am so thankful for all the friends I have made along the way.

Life is not about the destination, but about the journey. Make the journey count!

What is one of the top five most important thing you are thankful for?
