Day One is over for the 26th annual Whale Bowl of Rock-n-Roll.
Thanks everyone for your votes, because that's what it's all about...you voting for your favorite Classic Rockers to advance to the next round!

Day One, Round One saw some intense battles, and some blow-outs.
The blowouts included Journey over Heart, The Eagles destroying Rush, CCR dismantling Loverboy, Tom Petty crushing Ted Nugent and The Who cruising to an easy victory over Motley Crue.

The close battles saw a tough one between Van Halen and the Grateful Dead resulting in a VH win (sorry Deadheads), Ozzy Osbourne  biting (barely) the head off Pearl Jam and to end the day, Bachman Turner Overdrive squeaking past Soundgarden.
Not a good day for the late 80s/early 90s groups.

Thursday's Round One continues as follows:

Battle      Time        Artists
12.          8:10am – The Rolling Stones vs Cheap Trick
13.          9:10am – Bob Seger vs Led Zeppelin
14.          10:10am – Lynyrd Skynyrd vs Jimi Hendrix
15.          11:15am – Foreigner vs Kiss
16.          12:15pm - Guns n Roses vs Pink Floyd

Then we'll move into the Quarter-Final rounds beginning at 1:15pm.

Tune in all day and vote for your favorites as often as you'd like, plus during each battle, a lucky voter will win a cool Whale Bowl Prize Pack of pizza, wings and large sub!
