The 2018 NYSPHSAA Boys Basketball Championships wrapped up this (Sunday) afternoon with a pair of games at the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.  The Class A crown went to Amityville from Section 11 with a 74-54 victory over Ardsley from Section 1.  In the Class AA Championship Liverpool from Section 3 recovered from a terrible start to post a win over Section 11's Half Hollow Hills East.  The final score ended with a Liverpool 71 - 65 victory. Liverpool was down 37-30 at the end of the first half.

Sunday's action wrapped up the three-day tournament.  This was the second year of a three-year agreement with Broome County and the New York State High School Public High School Association.  A collaborative effort with the Broome County Chamber of Commerce, Broome County and the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial
Arena resulted in a move from long-time tournament home Glens Falls.

Arena resulted in the state moving the tournament from its long-time home in Glens Teams from all five classifications around the state compete.  Winners here in Classes AA, A and B will travel to Glens Falls for the Federation Tournament of Champions in Glens Falls next weekend.
