July 21st, 1987 was the day that the rock world was introduced to an awesome album from a band called Guns N' Roses.

It was on this day the 'Appetite For Destruction' album was released. The band members - Axl Rose, Duff McKagan, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, and Steven Adler comprised the original group.

The album was released on Geffen Records, and contains some great material, including  Welcome to the Jungle, Mr. Brownstone, Sweet Child O' Mine, and Paradise City. Over 28 million copies have sold so far and is the best selling debut ever.

An amazing success for the album, but not so much for the original band, who were destined for destruction in later years.

To honor one of the best albums of all time, enjoy Guns 'N Roses performing Mr. Brownstone at the Ritz in 1988.
