July 20th, 1975, Bruce Springsteen made a tour stop in Providence Rhode Island.

It was the 'Born to Run' tour and the Boss, along with the E Street Band had not even released the album 'Born To Run' when the run of shows began. Their first stop was at the Palace Theater, and it was the debut of Steven Van Zandt on tour with the band. This was the time that helped secure a bright future for Bruce Springsteen and the E street Band.

Adding Steven Van Zandt to the lineup was genius. The contributions he makes to the band is no less than awesome. I had the opportunity to meet Little Steven a few years ago when they made a stop in Buffalo, and he had so much positive energy, it really impressed me. The show, of course, was 3 hours of fun!

You can get a 2 hour dose of Steven Van Zandt's 'Underground Garage' every Sunday evening at 10pm on 99.1 The Whale. Check out 'Born to Run' from The Boss, Steven Van Zandt and the E Street Band at a Hammersmith Odeon 1975 show.
