In 1969, the Rolling Stones were in the midst of a North American tour that began on November 7th in Fort Collins, Colorado, and ended December 6th at the Altamont Speedway in California.

This tour was booked only at major venues and sold out all of them. Tickets cost anywhere from 4 to 8 dollars. What a bargain!

On this day in 1969, The Stones played their next to last concert at the International Raceway Festival in West Palm Beach, Florida, or as some call it, the Palm Beach Pop Festival.

They were joined at this festival with some amazing rockers, including The Chambers Brothers, Steppenwolf, The Byrds, Grand Funk Railroad, King Crimson, Johnny Winter, Ten Years After, Jefferson Airplane Iron Butterfly, Janis Joplin, The Moody Blues and more.

1969 turned out some amazing concerts such as this, and another one earlier that year somewhere in Upstate New York. Now what was the name of that festival?
