Binghamton’s 17th Annual ‘Paws for a Cause’ Benefits Cancer Prevention
Who says all benefit walks are for the two legged? This one just so happens to be for the four legged ones, and it benefits cancer prevention!
The 14th Annual All ‘Paws for a Cause’ will take place on Sunday, July 23rd at Otseningo Park from 10am-1pm and all proceeds benefit YWCA of Binghamton’s ENCORE plus program, which provides breast/cervical cancer education, outreach, and advocacy as well as access to FREE breast and cervical cancer screenings for Binghamton area uninsured or under-insured women.
Registration starts at 10am, with the walk kicking off at 11:30am. In addition to the walk, there will be a talent show with prizes, vendors, a doggie costume parade, and a K-9 demo unit.
But it gets even better- the first 100 participants will receive a free goodie bag. Prizes will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd highest fundraisers, with the highest pledge winning a year’s supply of dog food!
Registration is $20 per dog prior to the event date. At the event, the fee will be $25. If you have more than one dog, the registration price is $5 for each additional dog. Interested in participating? Be sure to register in advance!
